Le jardin des arbres bleus VO'LE : Christine O'Loughlin, Catherine Villefranque, and Michel Euvé (EBSG Architectes) |
|
How can a garden be mobile, while it is rooted to the ground and motionless?
Here, each tree has been chosen for its familiarity, its obvious reality. But doesn’t that big branch knocked down by a storm remind you of a walking man? There are moments when the natural order of things is disrupted, giving objects a new and
supernatural aspect.
As in our childhood fairy tales, some magical Merlin will have cast a spell on this
garden, bringing it to life, making it move.
The branches have been painted blue to mark their passage towards a new reality. The first ones still carry the ghost of their first lives, traced in the reflection of the pond.
