What remains of our travels? That is the question raised by this garden designed like a travel journal, the title alluding to the work of Jack Kerouac, figurehead of the Beat Generation.
The story is simple: a VW van drove around the world. In its wanderings it brought back atmospheres, colours, plants and amazing architecture. At the edge of the wild cane forest in Southern France, fragrant and colourful clearings await.
At the end of the path, strange constructions of pots evoke African markets and Indian temples… The ground, carpeted with red and purple grasses, reminds us of oriental rugs. In reminiscence of the unusual landscapes crossed in its past, the van sits there, and appears to be resting amidst its memories.
