Jardin Echo William RAE-SMITH, Gaspard LAUTREY, Jean-Claude GOURVENNEC, Will MENTER and John TIZZARD |
|
Imagine the seed as a stranded vessel in the middle of nowhere. It hold inside itself a genetic memory: an identity. Each seed carries within the memories and hopes of past and future generations. It exists only to procreate, at the right moment, in the right place, a garden, thus perpetuating this identity.
The conditions commanding its germination do not report to whoever regulates the ever-changing world. In this whirlwind created by ephemeral fluctuations, the seed will have to confront an uncertain future to survive in an increasingly unstable environment. Posts spike the garden in a vaguely circular network to evoke this maelstrom.
An echo emanating from the seed resounds from our origins and projects us into a serene haven of peace, a watering hole within a world perpetually seeking to know the meaning of it all.
