Feuilles de route Jacques SIMON and l'Espace Naturel de Lille Métropole / Jardin Mosaïc |

To create the Mosaic Garden in Lille, France, the various immigrant communities were invited to speak about gardens of their origins, real or fantasized. Here, the city’s landscape team have renewed this experience in designing this garden based on the theme of migrants.
They joined with Jacques Simon, the famous landscape artist with whom they won the 2006 Grand Prize of Landscape Arts for the Parc de la Deûle.
After the tunnel evoking the path taken by these thousands of men and women who have left their countries, you arrive at the central square symbolizing the City: ground bricks, a photo tree, mirrors pointing us in the right direction, our encounters, our roots.
Three giants come from the four corners of the planet, each carrying their dream of a garden.
