This is a completely new garden,
something between an abacus and a giant solitary game. Seven enormous rainbow-coloured
balls (2 metres in diameter) slide along parallel rods.
The garden has been designed to evoke a game board: alleys of black basalt,
and monochrome plant beds (dark green and light green). The free play consists
of composing your own garden by moving the giant balls.
The over-sized scale throws you into the heart of the game. It reminds us
that exaggeration is part of the spirit of imaginative play. A modular décor
for a family photo? An original idea for a public garden? Or the rock of Sisyphus
that suggests the vanity of never-ending playing and gardening?
