Folie douce à la Villa Conchiglia Caroline PERRIN et Marine DUVIVIER |
|
Shelled-lined caverns lend special
charm to the most beautiful of the Italian Renaissance gardens.
The Villa Conchiglia here pays homage to this decorative style and to the
feeling of mystery that it evokes.
At the foot of the garden, at the back of a pool, a wall of shells is masked
by a curtain of vegetation. There we find Leda, who Zeus, in the form of a
swan, seduced while she was bathing.
